Enjoying Bangkok but why?????

Whats the point of guys on the street always saying things are closed.
i knew the scam about them saying the temples were "closed" but today we were told MBK mall was going to be closed from 1-3 by a parking lot attendant who we were having a nice conversation with . What is the point of this. We are just trying to figure it out.

What language were you conversing in? Parking lot attendants are not known for their English skills or high level of education so perhaps something was lost in translation?

He was speaking English, he was directing traffic coming in and out of an underground garage. He got me to move so as to not getting hit while my husband was taking a photo and giving a small bit of change to a musician.

Thank you Evelyne and I proudly accept it! By the way is it real gold?

Funny you ask.... my husband works for the Royal Canadian Mint the company that made the medals,it is only gold plated
but if u ever visit the Mint in Ottawa you will see the real 18k gold coins.
