Hotel in Phuket town for 1 night to get am ferry to Phi Phi

Hello,

I was hoping that someone would be able to provide a few suggestions of hotels close to Ratchada Pier since we will be leaving on the ferry in the morning.

Also, any recommendations on how to book a ferry ahead of time. We will be there early January 2012 and I know that it will be busy so we want to make sure that we get on the ferry.

Thanks in advance,

C

There aren't any hotels that are close to the pier, which is actually outside of town. It's not that important anyway, since the ferry fare includes a free transfer from your hotel. I stayed in China House last year, which was okay.

I'm not sure you can book more than a day or two in advance. There are several ferry companies operating in high season, so you won't have a problem. I booked through the hotel, in November, and they wouldn't arrange the booking until the day before.

qwovadis,

It would really help if your read the OP's question before you give an answer.

lincasanova - the OP asked "a few suggestions of hotels close to Ratchada Pier"? So what answer did you find useful? All the hotels listed on asiarooms and agoda?

well. i guess i was looking at it from another point of view.. having not mentioned any budget, and supposing the OP could read the map part of any booking site.. that perhaps she was unaware of these two good search websites.. nothing else.

at least he/she gave the OP some more places to search. no one else has been able to give any suggestions so far.

By the way, please do not read any horrible irritation into my ?? or answer. Your post just sounded surprisingly critical to me.. but maybe there is some inside something going on I am unaware of.
