Assuming that you are going to visit Angkor Wat, try engaging the services of Ponheary or her brother Dara as guides. many on this forum have used them and been delighted. Visits to schools affiliated with thePLF.org have been the center of some trips. Do a search on this forum for Ponheary and you will read many accounts. Her E-mail is [email protected].

Just make sure you leave the weed of wisdom at home.

tosh---you would get better replies if you put a more exact title on your thread....like using the word cambodia in the title...
please also be more specific about what kind of info you are looking for |
IMO, the best guidebook to the temples of Angkor is Dawn Rooney's book, Angkor. Get the latest edition, published in 2006.
It takes three days just to see the major temples. Figure out how much time you need there depending on your level of interest. WE spent a week and would have enjoyed even more time there. Others get "templed out" quickly and are just fine with the standard three days. |
If you are a budget traveler or plan to go over land to Cambodia from Thailand, do take a look at this website: www.talesofasia.com
