E-Visa - Does it work?

We are Canadians planning to visit Myanmar in January 05. Spoke to the Myanmar Embassy in Ottawa and they said " the e visa is not working". Does anyone have any experience with this? If it does work, it seems like a much easier process than sending off passports to the Embassy. Thanks

i prefer to have my visa in hand upon arrival to avoid any delays in my vacation...easy to send passports via regular mail or ups or fed-ex...i got mine back in a week

Bob,
What address did you use?
I had been planning to use the E-Visa site also. Now I'm getting worried. We usually get our visas in Houston, but I don't think Myanmar has a office there.
Thanks,
Jane

I came back from Myanmar 5 days ago and posted a report on my trip on this board. In it, I describe how the visa procedure worked out for us. It was easy.

Burma is not a country you want to mess around with regarding a visa. I'd go through DC. I actually was called three times with questions before they sent me the visa.
