?driver/guide recommendation in Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai
 

Hello Thailand Fodorites!
Having greatly appreciated many of your posts and advice for well over a decade (!)
but somehow not feeling that I have had much to further the often stellar information
which you've so graciously provided (e.g. touring w Tong in BKK)
my wife & I are escaping winter and wondering whether you might recommend a
private driver (± guide) for the Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai area. We're a youthful 60s couple
and would likely hire for 1-3 days...

We stayed in CR in November and needed a driver to take us to CM - we ended up booking it via our hotel but using a local taxi company ( as opposed to using their more pricey limonservice) all worked out very well. I did contact the excellent concierge prior to my trip but he assured me it would be fine to leave until we got there... so I guess what I am saying is it may be worth contacting your hotel concierge?
