Thanks for clearing up the fog question (no pun intended!). Have you found that planes and trains in India are generally on time when weather is not an issue, or should we be building big buffers into our plans?

Jet has a good punctuality record, Indian Airlines has improved considerably last few years (good fall out of competition!). Flights in general have a decent track record. Trains have a good rtack record. Having said that you need some buffer everywhere including on drives.
