But if you spend all of your time writing for the website and don't go back to India, what will we do?

indiana, the website is written. All that was just sitting in my files. All I'm doing is tweaking them and adding pictures. I'll be finished in a week. Actually, I'm doing two other blog books simultaneously - but that's another topic.

So quite the reverse, this frees me up to go off again, I was getting weighted down by my trapped stories. I couldn'[t put the final drafts in Fodors 'cos you'd already read the early ones. What to do? thursdays' suggestion was perfectly timed.

Hi larry, good to see you again.

In a way, I already HAVE written a book. lol. What I need is a publisher. But, I suspect we won't have books in a decade so maybe the cyber-book is the go.

As for Honkers, I once fell into the orchestra pit in the big theatre there. That was a very interesting experience. See if you can arrange a tour, hurl yourself off the stage - bingo! That's a unique experience.

I have bookmarked The Dogologues, now just trying to figure out when I'll have time to read! Can't wait to dig in!

I am curious about the chronology of all the trips. Maybe at the top of each story you could add the Month(s) and Year so we'd know when you were in each place?

I'll think about that, b: I bet there's a way of giving you what you need. I don't think the chronology matters all that much but I hear you. You could just click on my trip reports in here and you'll see the general dates - but I realise, I'll have to add some more background info.

Actually, I'm getting a bit swamped with reaction. Which is just great. I'd like to thank the one enthusiastic person who has clicked into my site 2,500 times since last Thursday.

At this point in my life the gastro-porn seems to have more effect than the real stuff.

" . . . the one enthusiastic person who has clicked into my site 2,500 times since last Thursday."

We-e-ell, maybe it was more than one person... lol. Still, I'm blown out by that response. I thought about 20 of you would come in.

Don't you just love those stats pages, thursday?

You're a quick learner. LOL. Now let's see how long it takes to propel the Dogologues to the top 100 Wordpress blogs or at least to the quickest growing. (Website statistics are addictive. Even after many years I still check mine daily...) What percent of your visits are referrals from fodor's?

About 90%. lol. Thank you Fodor's. You just know I'll unashamedly promote it, at least till the novelty wears off.

But I think it'll be a long time before the Top Ten - they get 10,000 hits a day! More. Somehow, I don't think we'll make it to that. But as you said, it's impossible to know how long they stay. I know what they read - or click on, at any rate. But judging by the amount of correspondence I'm getting, they are reading. I just go off to the shops and by the time I'm back, there's another 100. Amazing. Really, extraordinary.

It's not impossible to know how long they stay. My stats software tells me that. Is that 100 e-mails or hits on your site while you shop?

Hits. lol. If it was E-mails I'd explode. Today seems to be particularly busy. But I can't find out how long. It's not on my stats page. Which site are you using?

I have my own stand-alone website, not part of any blogging empire. I pay for an upgraded stats counter from sitemeter.com which tells me all kinds of things: duration, geographic location, pages visited, downloads, referrals etc. I'd love to give a link to your website from mine but I'm afraid of the consequences from my publisher...

Dogster: OK, then what about a TV show?? LOL! Actually if Rudy Maxa (Smart travels) and Rick Steves can do it??? How about a title. Maybe "Dogster takes on..... and lives to tell about it" .
