Difficulty booking train ticket - Jaisalmer to Jaipur - Help Please

We are attempting to use Cleartrip to book a 1st class AC overnight train ticket between Jaisalmer and Jaipur. The Indian RR system shows one leaving from Jaisalmer at 16:20, arriving in Jaipur at 4:50, however, when we try booking it on Cleartrip we get the following message:

Aaagh! We couldn't find any trains. This might be because we couldn't find any trains for that route, or because there's no availability on your dates.

We are already within the 90 day period, so I don't think that would be the reason. Any suggestions on booking this train ticket?

Are you booking when they are open, India time?

We sent Cleartrip an email explaining our difficulty and received an auto response back from them that they would contact us within 24 hours, but they still haven't 2 days later.

Did you try booking on the Indian railways site instead?

That's very interesting - I picked a random date - Sep 14 - and the government site shows two trains, and shows berths available on the 1AC train, but Cleartrip is only showing the later train with 3AC berths. No idea what's wrong....

Hi dgunbug,

You may try this link to book your tickets, you might need to register first.

Cheers

Thanks. Looks like that's what we'll have to do. We've sent Cleartrip two emails already and they are not responding.

I booked all our trains on Clear trip but had the same problem as you, until I booked when they were open in India. That meant 11PM at night or something for us, but they are not open 24 hours a day, so figure out when it is 9-5 in India and try again during that time frame.

Thank you live42day. We'll try again during their 9-5 and see if it works.
