Dev Vilas or Nahargarh in Ranthambore?
 

I know a little about Dev Vilas but not much about Nahargarh in Ranthambore for accommodations.
Can anyone please give me pros and cons for each?

I think Nahargarh is brand new for this season so you are unlikely to see much on it. If you are willing to take a chance you can probably land a pretty good deal though.

It is well priced and the rooms are HUGE, but is there a down side(location, service, food, etc)?

Well location is probably not a problem as everything in the Sawai Madhopur is fairly close to the park. Service and food could be a problem...or not, depending on training and how fast they can get up to speed. There have been several new lodging options opening up in the past couple of years so there is probably some competition for service staff. Another risk is the relationship they have with the park and getting safari reservations - it is pretty competitive, especially for the jeeps.

You can now buy tickets online - so far it's wide open for Gypsy jeeps for the dates in March 09 when I will be there.I tried a couple of times but had trouble with accepting my Visa/PayPal - will try again.
Apparently the hotel has been operating since 2004 - they should have their act together by now, you would think.
