Departure tax at new BKK airport
 

Getting closer to take off for our Thailand trip. Just want to nail down a few logisitics. What is the departure tax for the new airport?

It's 700 baht, but it should be included in the price of your ticket.

Seems to me its one way or the other- either they include in your ticket price or they collect it at the airport. Has anyone recently had to pay it at the airport? I can't tell from my eticket whether its included.

It was included in the ticket I purchased about a year ago. The plan was that all departure taxes would be included in the ticket price by the time they moved to the new airport.

Ok Guen- you just came back from BKK- did you pay a departure tax at the airport?

We didn't have to pay a departure tax at the new airport; it was definitely included in the ticket fare.

I came back 2nd week of December and tax was included in the ticket, purchased in October.
However, the $25 tax when leaving Cambodia was not included and was quite a surprise!
