In reply to Oceania, my treatment consisted of replacement partial dentures that I lost while snorkeling on phi phi island. Before the dentist took the impression he recomended some cavities be filled which I agreed to, (knowing the cost in Australia) after that he cleaned and polished. That was my 1st visit,I went back 3 days later to have the dentures fitted.I did wonder if I would have to have them refitted back here in Australia but they have been perfect.

Thanks so much for your replies. I can't believe my luck (finally). I had no idea that Thailand is great for getting work done and I came upon this site purely by coincidence. I'm so happy. I have needed to get my fillings for the longest time! I should be able to wrap this up within a day, right?

Has anyone had a crown replaced at Bumrungrad? This usually involves 2 visits and I'm wondering how many days I'll need to wait while the crown is being made.

Not Thailand, but last year I lost a filling in Hanoi, Vietnam. Just looked in hotel room phone book and found "ex-pat Dentist", called him, he told me to come straight over to his surgery. Canadian trained Vietnamese, English speaking, and extremely charming, he replaced filling for about AU$30. Showed it to my dentist at home in Australia and she said she couldn't have done a better job herself.

Whoops, that was Ho Chi Minh city, not Hanoi.
