December trip
 

I have a week off in early December and would like to see fall foliage in Japan. This will be my 3rd trip, although have never been in the fall. I would like to know whether you would recommend Tokyo or Kyoto during this time frame. Thanks!

Kyoto. JMO.

I'd recommend Kyoto as well. I don't know how much of the koyo will be left in December. We were there in November at the height of the koyo and it was spectacular.

Thanks for your input. Kathy, what part of November were you in Kyoto? I might be able to move my trip up one week. That would be right after Thanksgiving.
