Daytrip to Jaipur

Hello,

can anyone recommend a good/reliable driver and/or tourguide for a daytrip from Delhi to Jaipur? I know its very short but that is all time that is available...

thanks

Well, yes - it will be very short.
Drive time Delhi to Jaipur is 5 hours.

Might not be worth it with 10 hours of your day just being with driving!

Have you seen what you want to see already in Delhi?

rhkkmk Nov 17th, 2008 05:55 AM

could you spend one nite there? then it might be worth it...

Perhaps he meant Agra. It's too lunatic an idea otherwise. Someone has to tell him.

Dogster, this has been your week for these kinds of questions hasn't it?

Brusselschap, in a word it's not worth it. Stay in Delhi or if you haven't been to Agra you can go there in one day and see the Taj and maybe Fatehpur Sikri.

If Agra is of interest, you would take the early morning train called the Shatabdi Express and then return back by that train in the evening.

Fly in and fly out. Youll get 12 hours. No sense driving Delhi-Jaipur-Delhi in a day. I do it but its on business and I can handle the shocks the traffic jolts you with every now and then. A novice could be brain dead doing this trip in a day.

npj: I think the original poster is ALREADY brain dead.

Note to self: don't drive from Delhi to Jaipur.

I haven't been there in YEARS and I flew when I did go. I'll know to fly again NEXT time I go too!
