Day trips from Baku

Day trips from Baku
A friend and I will be travelling to Azerbaijan for 3 day weekend. We arrive early morning friday at 4 AM and leave Sunday night at 8:00 PM. We both are kind of people who like to be on the go, visit sites, take pictures and not into taking much rest. Our tentative plan is:
Friday - Day trip to Shamakhi and Lahic (since we arrive quite early anyway)
Saturday - Day trip to Absheron Peninsula, Gobustan & Mud volcano
Sunday - Explore Baku
Does this sound reasonable? Additionally does anyone know of travel companies or private driver/guide who can help us planning these day trips. Budget will of course be a huge consideration.

Interesting. I just checked Lonely Planet's "Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan" and it lists no travel companies or guides at all for Azerbaijan. It does, of course, include suggested itineraries and info on transport. The ebook is on sale right now, you might want to buy a copy. Otherwise your hotel/hostel might be able to help.
I'm thinking of visiting Azerbaijan later this year, hope you'll post a trip report when you get back...
