Day trip to Koh Phi Phi or Stay for a night
 

Hi all,

I'll be going to Krabi and Phuket in three weeks time. I found that one of the most popular day trip from both places would be to Koh Phi Phi. I wonder should I take one or stay for a night there?

And since it is located in between of Phuket and Krabi, is it possible if I go there by myself by taking the ferry from Phuket, then go to Krabi. I always dislike taking same route two times. That's why I'm looking into this possibility.

If it is possible, I plan to either stay a night at Koh Phi Phi or just spend a day there before continuing my journey to the other place (Krabi or Phuket). My itinerary would be:

1. Hatyai to Phuket by bus
2. Phuket to Koh Phi Phi by ferry (stay for a night or just spend a day)
3. Koh Phi Phi to Krabi by ferry (then to Ao Nang)
4. Krabi to Hatyai by bus

or

1. Hatyai to Krabi by bus (then to Ao Nang of course)
2. Krabi to Koh Phi Phi by ferry (stay for a night or just spend a day)
3. Koh Phi Phi to Phuket by ferry
4. Phuket to Hatyai by bus

Consider whether you want to go to Koh hiPhi. It is often cited as the place in SE Asia most ruined by tourism. That said, if you go for a day trip, you are assured of seeing the worst of Koh PhiPhi. Staying over night means you may be able to see a bit of the "old" PhiPhi. Do a bit of research and decide whether you want to spend some of your precious travel time there.
