I've always booked day tours from my hotel in Bangkok, and it's worked well. The websites can give you a good ideas for tours and prices, but you'll likely be able to do better on price from Bangkok.

I'm Bangkokian girl. Actually there are many fantastic historical tourist places to visit. So get information to visit those places at the Airport. Night life would be exotic. If you'd love to try spending over night in the barge, luxury, romantic

I agree that you should not book tours over the net do it in Bangkok when you are there so you can get a feel of the place and the weather etc plus it should eb cheaper if not you can always log on and book it on the net anyway while you are there.
I would recommend doing a lot of it yourself though as many of the tours are only a taxi away and you can do everything at your own pace.
John
SuiteAsia.com travel community

We just got back last night from Thailand. We booked all our tours through Tour East. They were fantastic! Picked up and brought us back to the airport and stayed with us to be sure everything was taken care of. Their tours were excellent-great English-speaking guides who really knew their stuff. I would not hesitate to use them again. Have a great trip. Are you going to Chiang Mai? If not, you should-great fun.
