Cultural shows

Anyone have feedback on either the Siam Niramit (Enchanted Kingdom) cultural show or the Chalermukrung Royal Theater "Khon" show?

Can we get tickets easily the day of? Through our hotel or how? There are a group of 25 of us. Not sure how many will want to go though.

Appreciate any feedback.

We went to the Siam Niramit show in 2005. Topping the review for you.

Thanks, Isis. The info on how to get there and to go early was very helpful. We will see if we have the energy to do this when we think we might.

I just topped a brief review of the khon at Chalerm Krung Royal Theatre. It is a magnificent production, and I would highly recommend going. Here is a pic:

We went to the khon show in August and it was fabulous. The costumes and sets have to be seen and the dancers are superb. Lovely old theatre also. We actually picked up our tickets a couple of hours before the performance and then went and had something to eat. I think with a big group though it might be an idea to ring beforehand. Do go , you will enjoy it and it is truly representative of Thai culture. Another thing you might be interested in is the Traditional Thai Puppet Theatre which is in Suan Luam night markets in a theatre there. It would be an idea to organise tickets in advance for that too. Have fun!

Thanks to both of you. They both look great so it may be a problem to decide...and then perhaps we may only be able to get tickets for one or the other. I do appreciate the feedback!
