CT GTG Recap
 

A good time was had by all at the first ever Connecticut Fodors GTG at the Hartford/Windsor Marriott. Attendees included Craig (yours truly) and spouse Jeane, Bob and Karen (RHKKMK), Andy (sans spouse Beth who, apparently did not want to spend 4 hours traveling time with him), Joyce and Don (who win the award for longest distance traveled - from Virginia) and local Nutmeggers Carole (with an "e") and Rob. Conversation was focused on past and future trips to SE Asia. Craig toasted to Fodors for bringing everyone together and to the SE Asia region in general for all its wonders. Jeane handed out gifts to the attendees of note cards featuring her SE Asia travel photographs.

The pictures are great, Bob, and so was the event. We really enjoyed meeting you all. Jeane, thank you so much for the beautiful cards, and Craig for putting The GTG together.

Much to my dismay, everyone seemed to have a good time, including Bob. I do note that he was seated at the opposite end of the table from me. Jeane's pictures are extraordinary. I also note that Craig smoothly handled the money and Bob was given no opportunity to engage in his usual financial shenanigans.

Its very nice to finally meet you all through these pictures I have to confess that I thought you were much younger (maybe on your 30s!) from the energy you put on your travels, reports and advice posts. Pls. dont get me wrong! Congratulations and thks. for your advice in all these years!
