Craig: The agent in Yangon has tried to contact Joyce (Inle Lake guide) but he says his e-mails are not getting through. I have sent her my own e-mail just now, but thought I would check here to see if you have any other e-mail addresses for her. I mentioned that you had recommended her very highly.

Many thanks!!

I only had the one e-mail. You might try contacting Santa Maria if you can not get a hold of her directly.

Thanks, Craig.

My e-mail of an hour ago was returned to me with the message that there is "no mailbox of that name." I will try the alternate plan!

Hi, Craig, I have one of those obsessive getting-ready-to-buy-the-tickets questions. We tend to travel heavy, a suitcase each plus another suitcase each initially filled with bubblewrap and a carry-on each. I know you paid overweight baggage charges within Burma. DId you look into flying biz within Burma? Someone here mentioned doing so, and I'm wondering whether for a few a dollars more we could fly biz within the country and not have to pay baggage charges. (I have asked a travel agent to get the coach vs. biz info for me but have not heard back.)

Kathie, I see no benefit to flying business as the flights are so short - you may be squeezed for baggage allowances anyway - I'm not sure if there even was biz class on some of the flights. Maybe someone else has better info.

Ok, thanks, Craig. Someone here reported on flying all biz in Burma (Air Bagan, I believe), but of course, I can't find the trip report now.

wow! I'm really late reading your report but it is very helpful for our trip in Jan, 2011. We had a late start planning so I am gleaning tips from your report and others. Thanks!
