We are here in Siem Reap. Delivered supplies on our first day to the children. We ended up collecting way more than we thought (people were leaving money under our door mat the day before we left for SE Asia. Knowing the money was going made a big difference to my students and our friends. Plan to donate some money to the teachers for desks, bookcase, and a salary donation. since Ponheary didn't have enough time to buy more school uniforms before our arrival. We are staying at the Hotel de la Paix...you're right Craig...over the top sums it up in strange way. Never thought simple Asian could go hand in hand with ""over the top"" but it does. The outside courtyard is amazing.
Craig, we have two more only 1 1/2 more days here. Do you have a suggestion or a wish to pass on?
Look forward to hearing your full trip report, Craig. Hope you get a chance to write back before we leave

Joyce, Do go to Artisans d'Angkor and buy something if you haven't already. The proceeds of your purchase will support support young Cambodians learning traditional handicraft techniques. The quality of the crafts is excellent. I look forward to hearing more about your trip.

Hi Craig, I loved your report and will definitely use the info for my trip next week. I am addicted to this forum and spend all day reading instead of doing work! Quick question re the Pen hotel. You mentioned high internet fees. I was planning on staying there in two weeks for a night and I plan to do work from the hotel room, which requires internet access. How outrageous are we talking here?

shellgo13 - I used the business center computer so I really can't tell you what the charges would be if you connect or go wireless in your room. You could e-mail them and ask what the charges are.
