Contact with Bangkok guide-Tong, etc.
I strongly recommend that anyone who arranges for a guide, contact that guide after they arrive in Bangkok. You should call him/her on his/her cell phone. Hopefully, the cell number will have been provided in previous E-mail contact. This will prevent confusion and misdirection. Some hotels are less than cooperative and direct tourists to their chosen guides and obstruct contact with the pre-arranged guide.
We used Tong and she was great. her numbers are: +66 8 1 914 6045 +66 8 1 835 0240 |
gpanda,
Which hotel would do such a thing? Please let us know. Aloha! |
HT-this is second hand knowledge and I would not feel comfortable besmirching a hotel's reputation. However, apparently there are a number of hotels that are certainly not facillitating the interactions between the guides and the tourists. A cell phone call can avoid this.

Thanks Andy for the info
hahaha...I now have to consult with rhkkmk on the definition and grammatic correctness of "besmirching" and "facillitating", lol Aloha! |
HT-my guess is that Bob thinks that besmirching is a line of insects walking in columns in a hive. To besmirch or not to besmirch...

you can't help but love people who think they are superior and all knowing!!!
little do they know what normal people think of them and how they look in speedos.... may i suggest the it must be the royal orchid sheraton that does such things as this is the only hotel that the panda has ever stayed in there.... |
Bob, may I point out that Gpanda says this is second hand knowledge, so it did not happen to him... That would absolve the Royal Orchid. (You know I just had to point it out!)
