Confused- Hakone or Miyajima Island
 

I possibly have one night available either from Tokyo to Kyoto or Kyoto to Nagasaki.

From the above, which is more worthwhile to see during my trip for the overnight?
Are any of these easier/harder to get to?

Is it worth it to see the above for the 1 night or should I just do Tokyo and Kyoto?

You have such limited time I'd stick with Tokyo and Kyoto and Nagasaki.

Also, it's steaming hot now. Today 35 degrees in Kanazawa. Really slows you down and sucks your energy. August is hotter still, and the 3 cities you are going to are hotter than Kanazawa as a rule. Give yourself plenty of time for breaks.

As Kim advises limit your time however a day and night in Hakone would make sense to me to try and escape the oppressive heat. Miyajima would be hot and not worth your while this trip with so little time.
