computeres in Hong Kong

Can anyone recommend reliable places to shop for a laptop in Hong Kong?
Would prefer used (but new would be okay if used is not available), and
would prefer Macintosh. Will be in Hong Kong in December 2003. Many
thanks! --David.

Not a great idea, especially used. Try a search on this board. There were a few threads a while ago about buying electronics in HK. They aren't particularly cheaper and there are some horror stories of consumer rip-offs. (I'll top them for you if I can find them.)

Now clothing...that's another matter...

I topped one for you "Hong Kong Shopping Tips". Some info on electronic gear.

There are quite a few secondhand shops for notebook computers, PDA, digital cameras in Wanchai Computer City just over Wanchai MTR station. Not sure if there are macintoshs though. Buying secondhand should be careful in everywhere just because of the nature but it is not particularly dangerous in Hong Kong. You may also try the computer-selling floors in Winsor House of Causeway Bay. Both are of convenient locations and well-visited by locals as well as foreigners.
