Comments on China Air please?
I'm thinking of taking a group tour to China next year. They use China Air. I'd be departing out of Los Angeles. I would welcome comments on service, seating, etc. My husband and I are tall. Is it easy to get economy plus with them? The tour company will have to book that.

You may want to post this in the airlines forum. Per Skytrax they have a mediocre rating, 3*. China Southern is 4* but I don’t know if that’s possible for you. Seems like you are locked in to Air China as it’s a package.

It would be interesting if they came back and confirmed if it was AC or CA they were in fact talking about. I too assumed they meant AC, because it’s a really common, and cheap, airline out of California. And I don’t usually see China Airlines referred to as China Air.
But since you’re reliant on your tour company to book, you REALLY need to talk to THEM about the seating options that you can purchase from them. What tour company is this? Usually tours don’t include air tickets. |
OK. I see. I hope its China airlines. The reviews are much better.

I have used China Airlines in the past but not to mainland China just to Taiwan and on to the Philippines and Thailand. I am talking about CI, China Airlines. https://www.china-airlines.com/us/en I had no big issues with this airline. For me, flying from East Coast USA to Asia I preferred their arrival time in Asia. I don't care to arrive in Asia late at night or in the middle of the night if possible. Business class was okay when I had enough miles to get it. Food in the cheap seats was adequate. Snacks available during the flight too. For those who like to drink alcohol it was available. Flight attendants were friendly enough. With my gold card at the time I had free lounge and first on. With the gold card a few free upgrades too. If you are talking about "Air China" with headquarters in mainland China - never used them! From what I see they are cheaper than some other airlines flying to this part of the world. Good luck. |
I've been there before! It's called Alitalia!!!
