I have found several guides on line very succesfully. If you go to the forums on TA, and then get to the site about a specific town , ask for a guide. I have gotten several names this way. I then PM the writer and ask about English, price, and how good the info is, and if they are willing to customise the tour. For Xian I got Jane this way. Her contact info is [email protected]. We loved her. Very good humor, and flexible.
