Chinese visa processing agency needed

Can anyone recommend a visa service to obtain a Chinese visa. I was about to use a recommended one located in Houston, but the Chinese embassy in Houston is closed due to the hurricane. There are other agencies not in Houston that are listed on google, but I am reluctant to send my passport to a non recommended agency. I have one month before I leave on my trip. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

I had an excellent experience recently with ChineseVisaExpress.com, and they have one of the cheapest rates at $23.95. They are in DC, their service was extremely fast, and they kept in contact. Also, btw - requested and got a multi-entry one year visa, in case we want to return to China next summer - with no problem.

I use a place in DC called Zierer Visa Service. I'm actually in China right now and needed to get a Visa very quickly. I paid an accelerated rate but had my Visa in one day. Site is www.zvs.com.

Thank you for your prompt replies. I think I will go with Ed's recommendation because it is less expensive and he was satisfied with the service. I do not like sending my passport away to anybody, but I feel a little better about it knowing someone else tested the waters and it worked out ok. Thanks again to both responders.

I also used Zierer Visa Service recently. They came recommended by my travel agent. I didn't pay expedited fees. They are right down the street from my work location. I found them extremely knowledgeable. The turnaround time was less than a week and this was during the rush processing for the Olympics.

I just want to thank Ed for his recommendation of Chinese Visa Express, www.chinesevisaexpress.com. We just received our visas from them and the service was excellent. I mailed them to their office on a Friday and received them back by Fed Ex on the following Wednesday, 1 1/2 weeks, including weekends. If you e-mail them before you fill out the visa forms, Cathy will give you information on how to answer, i.e. contact in China, fill in every area, even if it doesn't apply to you etc. The visa is also multiple entry for 1 year. You don't need to send confirmation of all your hotels in China any longer.
