China weather in April

Hi, we are in planning stage of two+ weeks trip in China. The plan is to start in Hongkong and work our way thru the country, finishing in the end of april in Bejing. How is this time weather wise? There is a concern that weather in Bejing in April is not so good. Is it true?

Regards, Mike

April is one of the better times to visit Beijing, with typically bright, sunny days, and winds that clear away some of the murk. The only problem is if those winds bring in sand from the northwest, but although sandstorms are increasingly frequent they are brief, and your chances of encountering one are not great.

But far more detailed weather information can easily be found on-line. Start with www.weatherbase.com
