China Tour with Laurus Travel
 

My husband found this Canadian company through an ad in ITN and we are wondering if anyone has experience dealing with this company. It has an 18-day China tour that we particularly like because it seems to be more culture-oriented.

We travelled with the company last fall and it was a fantastic experience. Their tour leader was one of the best we've ever dealt with, so experienced and knowledgeable. We travelled to Yunnan in combination with a Yangtze cruise. Our transpacific flights were business class on Air China and the tour company managed to get a great deal for us. Why try anyone else if you can go with China Focus? Please at least take a look at their website.

Hi we just compleated a 22 days China Panorama tour with Laurus. They delivered what they promised. We went to the section of the wall where not many tourist go and hence not many shop vendors trying to sell us something or literal;ly in your face. If you can afford to go and have the time I would strongly suggest you take the longer trip and go to the Yunnan Province. It is rural China. We have a short travel journal and if you would like a copy please let us know. Hi Susan, could you please e-mail me a copy of your journal? we took the 18-day China Odyssey trip in April and stayed in Shanghai for 2 extra days at the end of the tour. In hindsight we should have added 2 more days and gone to Yunnan instead. Laurus asked us before departure if we were interested in switching to the longer trip but we said no. We have been thinking of going back to China next year with Laurus and already have our eye set on the Silk Route tour. Since everybody who's been to Yunnan recommends this province so strongly, we are wondering if we should postpone the silk road trip and go to Yunnan first. Hi, we just returned from our trip to China. We extended out trip for about one week and went to HongKong on our own. As soon as we unpack the bags we will respond. One of the journals is in a shortened form and if you want me to send you this, please let me know. Sorry for the delay - we had a wonderful time and it could not have been better. We knew what we wanted and that is what we got. In fact we had such a good time we are planning our 2nd trip to China with some friends we made on our tour. We will be using Laurus again and I think if there are ten of us they will create a trip for us. Originally we thought one trip would be okay.<BR><BR>Susan
