China power adaptor
 

Could someone tell what the power plugs/outlets look like in China(slanted, round, ect). I bought a power adaptor kit and I'm not sure which plug to use. Thanks

And if it still won't work, the answer is this:<BR><BR>The Chinese system is 220 volts.<BR><BR>The most common socket is the two flat-pin type as in North America, closely followed by the two round-pin type favoured in continental Europe. The majority of power points actually have both fittings, and the third most common is the Australian type (also seen in Fiji in my experience) with three flat pins, two of them at an angle. Usually items requiring higher power are plugged into this socket, such as the fridge/minibar in your hotel room. Quite commonly, panels have all three fittings.<BR><BR>Lastly, if your hotel has been constructed under Hong Kong auspices, such as many of the five-stars and four-stars around the country which have familiar brand names, or are run as Sino-foreign joint-ventures, the British standard of large, chunky three-pin sockets may be the only thing available unless there are special laptop points in the desk. We stayed in four different hotels (in four different cities) and never had any trouble getting adaptors from the hotel.<BR><BR>

Agree with the other posters... if you stay at an international chain property or other 4/5 star hotels, they will have all of the equipment you would need - transformers, adaptors, etc. It is much easier just to borrow it from the hotel.
