China in May?

Planning a trip the end of May 2008. Anyone with first hand experience with the weather? Too hot,too rainy? Just right? Currently searching out the weather web sites for this month to get an idea of what I can expect. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give.

It's a huge country so depends on where in china. If it's Beijing and Shanghai May will be a great time to visit. Starting to get nice and warm but not at all hot yet. In April you ofen would still need a sweater or light jacket.

You are welcome to China, it is up to the different area, such as my hometown, Guilin Yangshuo where has the reputation of having the most beautiful landscape under heaven. It is a dream place for many tourists who want to see the real natural landscape and touch the countryside life.it is hot, sometimes rainy days, the temprature is about 32 degrees, you will see a green land here.

I just returned. Was there May 2-May 13. Although the 2 weeks prior had been cool, suddenly we were in the 90s in Beijing. Shanghai was perfect mid to low 80s, with a bit cooler evenings.
