Chiang Mai: Red Hibiscus Guest House

I have done a search and have not found anything regarding this guest house.

Has anyone stayed there? other than being a little far away from the action it looks great, especially the mini-suite!

They have a website:

http://www.redhibiscus.com/

I have researched this place as I was thinking of staying here during future trips. I visited it and the hotel appears to be well-kept ( Nov 2004) and clean and well-run. If it were me, I would definitely choose the mini-suites. I have stayed at at least 6-7 different hotels in CNX and would rate this one as a good choice.

Song taews (hired trucks) can be had cheaply(about 20 baht or USD $.50 per person per trip)from most places in CNX.

Be sure to visit the Womens Prison a few block away to purchase some of their clothes/handicrafts and get a massage. All very safe.

I live in Bangkok but love Chiang Mai.

Thanks, Farangene. I had been to their website but it is always nice to hear about 1st hand experiences from people that have stayed in a place.

I might just give it a shot since you have seen it and recommend it. We would definitely get a mini suite!

Cheers!
