Cheap ways to get vaccinations?

Does anyone know of a state-run program, etc. that offers affordable vaccinations for travellers? Or is it best just to go through one's own pcp?

I usually go to my county health department. They have all the latest CDC information and lower prices than a doctor's office. They're also more likely to have all the vaccines you might need.

I recently got my tetanus and measles boosters at my county health department. Total cost $10. They also offered Hepatitis B for $40 per shot, but I already have it. Get whatever you can at the health department, it will definitely save you money.

If you are a college student, get it at your school. I got tetanus and MMR (one M is measle) for free, Hepatitis A/B for about $20.

We are in New Mexico and our county health department gives these shots free. We had our first shots at the doctor's office and then we found out that the county health office had them free and were more uptodate on the shots required, etc.
