Cheap Travel from Singapore to Bali

I'll be in singapore in October '05 and I'd like to head down to Bali for a week or so. What's the best way to go?

If you are looking for service/comfort on flights Singapore Airlines has about 3 flights per day, 2 hrs 30 mins, all B 777 flights. Garuda do the route no doubt cheaper, probably a 737, those currently are the only directs, you can probably get cheaper using budget airlines into Jakarta and changing to another flight to Bali but it depends on your budget, a very round about way would be bus to Johor Bharu near Singapore, Air Asia to Kuala Lumpur and then Air Asia to bali but in the end you might have a tiresome journey.

www.airfares.com.sg is a Singapore based agent who has lots of fares and promotions, this is if you are planning from Singapore itself, if you are flying long haul into South East Asia then depending which airline you use you can see about add-ons to Bali.

For hotels others on this board have been and will certainly come in with ideas etc, perhaps if you could let us know your budget it helps to either suggest lux places, mid priced or budget.

I looked at flights but couldn't find anything below $500. My buget will most likley be around $1000, most likley less. cause i'm Currently in Canada and i'm going around Europe before i go to Singapore then finally home to Australia. So i'm not looking for any kind of comfort, really.

Just looking to kill some time in a nice place, and maybe see the Family while their in Bali.

I'll have a look at the links you've given me when i get the chance. and let you know what i think.

Also I was thinking of camping, where possible, Know anything about that around thoes areas.

I'm really looking to do it cheap, cheap, cheap.
