Centre Point Silom Hilarious Typo!

I was just checking out all the websites of the hotels we will be staying. I was reading the FAQ on the Centre Point Silom website when I ran across this:

"Do you provide baby sister and baby cot?

No, we do not provide baby sister service. But our guest service at lobby could give you information on the service. However, baby cot is available upon request."

Boy, if they did provide "baby sister" service would it be illegal in Thailand?

Do some of the more upscale hotels actually offer this type of service?
:-)

I hope this posting isn't offensive to anyone. I thought the typo was quite funny!

euro:

Last year we were at both the Shangri La and the Peninsula and they both offered babysitter services and baby cots.

Aloha!

I don't think you guys read my message correctly!

It says "baby SISTER service"! LOL!

I read it correctly... I had a good laugh. Thailand is full of such kind of signs. One of my favorites is in Chiang Mai, and one of my favorite seafood restaurants. The said used to say "Refund for complain food" but they fixed it... Now it says "Refund for food complain".... ha ha ha

Another one is in Hangdong markets near Chiang Mai. "If you want product of a good kind, please look away"

Thanks for sharing the baby sister one.

Carol, those are funny! One of my favorite Chinese restaurants here in Portland has "crap" puffs on their menu!

My favorite was a NY Korean deli advertising "turips" in the flower section.

Fried "crap" (crab) is a fairly common typo in Thailand (probably not technically a typo more an error in transliteration)
Once I came across "burnt bread" (toast) on a menu. Another menu offered me a "fried poke" (pork)
And in Tesco Lotus you can buy a bag of "Fanny" sweets.
