Celebrating Chinese new year in Osaka?

We will be in Osaka on Feb 18th - Chinese new year. From what I can see there is no Chinatown in Osaka, so can anyone suggest a Chinese restaurant?

I can't, but I think you would find that any Chinese restaurant will be closed on the 18th, at least if it is operated by Chinese people and has a Chinese chef. That is the first and the most important day of the new year, and many people believe it is bad luck to be open for business on that day. They will be home celebrating with their families. You may find Chinese restaurants operated by Japanese people with Japanese chefs, but that may not be the point of the exerciese in eating in a "Chinese" restaurant.

Aha, thank you Cicerone. That's a very good point. And a Japanese operated Chinese restaurant defeats the point.
