Cathay Pacific or Korean Air?

Hi,
We are looking to fly from Tel Aviv to Osaka this fall - we will fly business class. Is there an appreciable difference between Cathay Pacific and Korean Airlines in Business Class? Those are the two best options on the dates we are looking.

Thanks!

This is a great website for just about anything you want to know about airlines, lounges, seats, food, you name it.

Both are highly regarded so either way you should be fine.

All the best.

By most measures Cathay leads the way head of Korean. I was very happy with Cahay BC but it was a few years ago Ana would be my preferred choice to Japan but not sure if they fly out of Tel Aviv.

One thing worth checking out is what type of aircraft they use on the route and how old. This can make huge difference to the experience. On one BC flight with Emirates to Durban we had a brand new aircraft with state of the art seats from London to Dubai but a much older aircraft from Dubai to Durban which wasn't nearly as spacious or as good.

Google and you will find loads of reviews, league tables etc. They are all necessarily very subjective but its a start.

Good idea about the type of aircraft. KAL has upped their game so to speak. Per skytrax they are #6 vs. Cathay at #16. We once flew Cathay Dragon Xian to KUL and KUL to PEK. It was more local of course but they were pretty good. never flew long haul Cathay or KAL. Have done som on ANA and Asiana and loved them
