Can you pay for the Temple pass with credit card?

Do they only accept US Dollars or Credit card as well? If so, which ones - visa, mastercard, amex?

Thanks!

At Angkor Wat - no credit cards, just US $.

Yup, US dollars. You can likely pay for your hotel with a credit card (Visa or MC) but don't plan on using your credit card elsewhere in Siem Reap. An occasional restaurant or high end shop will accept a card, but that's all.

Thanks, will budget accordingly.

Travelers Cheques?

No travelers chex.

The easiest way is just take a great deal of US dollars. The hotel safe will provide security. Make sure you take small bills (1's, 5's, 10's and 20's) in good condition. Ripped or worn bills are generally not accepted.

There are also ATM's in Siem Reap if you don't want to haul a bunch of cash around.

Please note however that breaking a twenty can sometimes be a problem, so even if you plan on using the ATM for your per diem, bring a wad of ones and fives anyway.
