Can I buy permethrin in Saigon

I can't buy permethrin here in Canada and rather than ordering it from a US dealer I'm wondering if we would be able to buy it in Saigon on arrival. Is it commonly used in Vietnam ? Anyone know ?

Hi Galiano
I have been looking for permethrin here in Australia and the pharmacist has told me that the strength I am after is marketed as head lice solution. There are instructions on the internet on how to apply it and at what strength.
I don't want to spend my holiday laying out clothes, spraying them(wear a mask) and then trying to dry them in a hotel room so I plan to get some"lice treatment" and do them just before I leave.Maybe someone here can comment on whether this is a good idea.

The permethrin spray is unlikely to be available in VN. Skittle, you really don't want head lice solution, as you are likely to get much too much on your cloyhing. Remember that while permethrin is a natural substance, it is still a poison.

So it appears from the answers that Vietnam has neither permethrin nor mosquitoes. Hmmmmm..... I think just in case I'll order permethrin before I leave from :

Actually Geosand I'm pleased to hear that you weren't bothered by mosquitoes. Did you use Deet ? We're going to be on a Mekong River boat trip for 8 days so may not be so lucky as you.
