Hi Kathie. I now have my dates for the Seattle area - I should be staying with a woman I met on the Bulgaria tour last year on the Kitsap Peninsula May 14-17, and then in Seattle proper May 17-19 before taking the Clipper to Victoria.

Apr 29, California Zephyr to San Francisco (2 nts)
May 5, Coast Starlight to Portland (1 nt)
May 14, Cascades to Seattle
May 19, Clipper to Victoria
May 23, Bus and ferry to Vancouver
May 25, Canadian to Jasper (1 nt)
May 28, Canadian to Toronto (3 nts), train to Ottawa
Jun 4, Train to Montreal

I have tickets for all the trains through to Montreal with sleepers for the night trains (I lucked out and got VIA Rail on sale). It's possible a friend with an RV will pick me up somewhere between Montreal and New York on the way back, still TBD. Note that this started out as a visit to Portland....

Ooops, Lake Shore Limited, not Empire Builder. That would be another trip.

I have another question you might be able to help me with. I am considering VPN software and I notice on your independent travel site you use Witopia software. It appears that that article was written by you in 2009. Are you still using VPN and are you happy with Witopia?
I apologise if this is not the correct place to ask this but I am not sure how else to contact you.

Cheryl writes the technical articles. We are still using the Witopia software. Cheryl says Witopia has an excellent website and they have really good tech support. You can call them and they will walk you through the installation of the software, if needed.
