Buying Wine in Chiang Mai

Can anyone suggest a place to buy some decent wine in Chiang Mai. We will be staying at the Chedi.

Your best bet would probaly be one of the european supermarket chains like Big C or Tesco

I know both had reasonable selection their BKK stores and assume it would be available in their CM stores

Apart from supermarkets you can try the many wine shops around the city, just ask the concierge at the Chedi. Supermarkets, unless they are in more posh areas of town, don't normally carry nicer wines.

For an idea on prices and perhaps you can call them to find one of their distributor in Chiang Mai, here's the latest price list from a company I buy from: http://www.gfour.co.th/download/wine_list_web.pdf

PS.. I can normally get 10 - 15% off on their listed prices.
