Buying air line tickets in S. Korea
I have seen several recommendations that it is cheaper to buy tickets from Korea to China when you arrive in Korea.
We will need a one way flight from Seoul to Shanghai for a Sunday morning. We arrive in Korea on Saturday night. Can someone recommend a Korean travel agency or contact in Korea which could help us buy the ticket? How far ahead do we need to buy a ticket? Any help would be great. |
I am also wondering about this since I have received the same advice regarding tickets to China.

Here are some English speaking travel agencies in Korea:

Islandboy that is very helpful. Thank you.
Are you by any chance living in Seoul? |
No, I'm not living in S. Korea. I've only been there on several trips with my girlfriend (she has some family in Korea).

When I was there last fall I bought airline tickets at the airport. The problem I had was that the flights I wanted were already full. I found it impossible to try and call the airline ahead of time from a hotel - even working through personnel at the hotel it was too hard. There simply wasn't anyone with enough English to understand me. You might try booking when you first arrive on Saturday. That might be enough leeway. I actually had no problem getting on a plane, I just had to go with a more expensive airline because the cheapest was full.

Not sure if Dove, the OP, has come and gone, but I recently returned from South Korea, where I purchased rt air tickets to China through the following agency; they have an office in Seoul, in the US Embassy:
