Boracay water polluted

Is Boracay water polluted, because of the increasing number of resorts and tourists?

It wasn't a year ago.

Boracay is still not so built up when you compare to other places.

I was there in May and swam in the water. We even brought a child and non of us had any problem.

I was just there last week and it is beautiful, as always. The water is crystal blue and the sand is soft and clean. I highly recommend Boracay for an inexpensive and wonderful vacation.

I was there in May 2004. The water wasn't polluted, I guess in the sense that you couldn't see through it or if you accidentally swallowed it you'd die, but I noticed while taking a tricycle to different parts of the island, different beaches, there was trash floating in the water: pieces of plastic, styrofoam, wrappers, etc...

Sorry I can't remember names, but at a beach near one of the golf courses, I noticed that there was much trash on the beach that washed up from the water. This beach was not very populated, well actually not at all, no one was swimming and I assume people do not usually swim there. Though the water was still crystal clear, it just had refuse floating on top or beached.

I assume if the beach more used more frequently, the people that owned the area would take more care in making sure that refuse wouldn't wash up on shore or be floating around.

Other than that, I loved the place. I plan on going back again May 2005.
