Has anyone been to Boracay??? Is 7 days long enough??

Yes Mae, I've been to Boracay and think there is nothing as beautiful as its beaches. I would travel across the continent to sink my feet into its powdery soft white sand. The people are great, the variety of food is amazing, the prices are very cheap and accomodations too (just dont expect a Ritz Carlton experience). THIS IS THE LIFE, I PLAN TO RETIRE IN BORACAY (just hope the govt takes care of this treasure)

Ooops forgot to answer your second question. got a little carried away. Seven days is just right. Some may get swept up by the life there and decide to stay a month. But a week is enough to recharge.

Boracay is a great place.
Planned on staying 4-5 days and ended up there for 7. If you are a beach person you'll love it. If you just want to do nothing and just worry about lunch/dinner happy hrs and a dip in turquoise water, this is the place.

If you need more info let me know.

Accomodations are quite primative unless you pay. But everything is there!
And it's cheap to eat drink and stay!

Just got back from boracay last week. Spent a relaxing fun-filled 5 days there. If you want peace and quiet, you can just read a book lying on the beach with the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep. If you want fun, there are lots of sports activities such as jet ski, sailboat, scuba diving etc. You can also go island hopping and even set up your own picnic. Accomodations are quite basic, if you want more amenities & comfort you'd rates go to $80/night which isn't bad compared to what you're getting in return: beachfront accomodations, etc. So many foreigners have fallen in love w/ the place that they set up shop there, that's why you have so many authentic korean, french, indian restaurants in that small island. Go!
