Mike, My Egypt book arrived today - wonderful photos. And I checked out the photo of the Bent Pyramid that you have an original of - lovely!

Kathie, I'm glad you like the book. One of the most interesting aspects of it for me is seeing the various levels of sand around the Sphinx.

Yes, the sand levels and the condition of the Sphinx were interesting. The sand levels at many of the temples (like the Temple of Hathor) the condition of the various temples was interesting, too. It was also nice to see photos of Philae and Abu Simbel in their original settings.

I mentioned that there was another book I bought about Angor, and I have located it. It is called "The Civilization of Angkor" by Charles Higham, University of California Press. It is mostly text (and fairly academic), but with a section of photos.
