It's called Evergreen Deluxe Class/Elite Class...it's in the drop down menu on their home page when you select LAX to BKK flights.

I did a dummy booking LAX to BKK in premium economy in August and I see a fare of $1718 (taxes included).

I also see the following departures out of LAX:
EVA #15 @ 1:50 AM (arrives BKK @ 11:35 AM the next day)
EVA #11 @ 5:40 PM (arrives BKK @ 1:25 AM the next day)

Never mind , I did find their premium economy, it was another airline that didn't have it. But I have not found any day flights for them and their schedule would cause us to lose a whole day.

They only offer the 5:40 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Just so I don't sound completely crazy, I'll explain a little more about our situation. We are leaving on a Sunday. The Saturday night before, I will be working until close to midnight. Any flight that leaves during the day has to allow us enough time to get to the departure city. How ever if we wait for an overnight flight we will arrive Tuesday morning rather than Monday night, as we hope. We are spending Tuesday doing embassy paperwork, getting translations and things to get married legally. We only have 4 days in BKK, so the earlier we get there the quicker we can get through the paperwork and start with the fun!

I really appreciate all of the help and advice! I am going blind from searching every website out there.

The flights through Europe tend to be considerably more expensive than the ones that go through Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei or Homg Kong. Take a look at vayama.com and kayak.com for prices. The US carriers are generally not as good as the asian carriers.

i find that in coach airlines are pretty much the same....perhaps a couple of extra inches in PE is worth it to you and maybe a slightly better meal....only you have the answers as to which is better for you....

i say save the $$, suck it up and fly coach and take pills...

btw, don't be surprised if the thai authorities take way longer than you expect to process your requests and paperwork...

>>>I would love to fly Singapore Air<<<

(A selective quote, indeed, by yours truly, followed by immediate and full disclosure: do have a bit of a personal/professional connection with that cherished Singaporean carrier. And yes, she's always been a '10' in my business - and occasional pleasure - travel heart.

Now, warm early morning greetings, and yes, warm congrats on your forthcoming romantic times, 'cakegirl'!

Should SIA still be in play, would suggest venturing over to that sweet singapore air dot com (and SQTalk), and signing up for SQ's newsletter and KrisFlyer programme. On occasion, most attractive promos for all classes of service. Last year, a brief and gratefully appreciated 'buy one business class tix, companion flies free' private offer, for SIA's 'frequent fliers'. (You never quite know what SIA's executive 'rock star' management will concoct; keeps it interesting.)

However you fly, cherish your tender Thai times, with your loved one, in the Land of Smiles.

For what it's worth, two years ago at Christmas, we paid $1979 for LAX-BKK nonstop on Thai Air in premium economy seats. I don't recall now how much more the premium seats were over regular economy, but we definitely thought that they were worth the extra expense.
