Booking BKK Hotels

Have been looking at BKK Hotels on the website Sawadee.com They have good rates. I did a search here and didn't find any negative comments on the use of the site but just though I would post and ask if anyone has any comments on the use of this site. I am looking at booking somewhere for a few nights in Feb.

Thanks in advance

Sawadee.com is JamesA's favorite booking site. Many of the local Thai booking sites like huahin24 and others feed to this site.

I have used and their local affilaites ( to get more local information ) for years and never a single problem.
Note that when you request a booking unlike some other services you do 'not' ( I repeat 'not' ) have to give any credit card information at all, also you can request several at one time in case one or more is full, no commitment, they will respond depending on your time zone between a couple of hours and probably maximum of 1 day ( the later usually for smaller or outer locations but for Bangkok should be in hours ), you then have usually 3 days whilst those rooms are held for you and you can then finalise your itinerery around what is available and choose which one, or confirm the one if you only requested one, only at that time do you need to give credit card details and make it a firm booking. Depending on the hotel usually it is a deposit, I 'think' around 20-30% but it can vary, then the balance is charged to your card about 2 weeks before arrival.
They are 'huge' locally and have a vast choice of places.
Hope that helps.

i use their www.huahin.20m.com site all the time and just love it...last spring when some hotel pricing changed i sent them an e mail and asked if i could take advantage of the price reduction and they checked with the hotel and ok's it...i was very pleased...i had several reservations so that may be the reason why...someone who had only one res was denied a change...

they are very reliable...not sure how they would be with changes and cancellations as that is a completely different matter....remember they are a discount site...not full service/full price...

their bookings usually include tax/service and breakfast which is a huge savings...

I have used sawadee.com twice, with no problems. I recently recommended them to a friend plannning a Thailand trip.

One thing to be aware of with sawadee.com is that the deposit is usually non-refundable, which they state up front.
