Bombay Hilton v. Sheraton

Will be in Bombay mid-June, cannot decide between the Sheraton and the Hilton. Any thoughts? Hilton has a very reasonable rate. Went to the Sheraton last year for lunch but did not stay in the hotel, lobby and shops looked nice.

Not sure which Sheraton as there are 2, one near the intl airport and one in Parel. If it is the one in Parel def the Hilton. If it is the one near the Intl airport I'd need to know more about yoour trip i.e. how many days, what do you do next, etc. My first cuff comment is the Hilton as it is much nearer all the fun things but it is a 1.5 hour transfer from the intl airport.

The Sheraton near the airport. Will only be in Bombay for 2 days for sightseeing.

I returned from India last week and although we did not stay at the Hilton we did visit a friend who stayed there. The rooms are excellent considering the price they charge. South bombay where the Hilton is located is much better (more clean and less crowded) than were the sheraton is located. We stayed for two nights at the Juhu marriot and hated it. The hotel lobby was like a train station, FULL of people at all time. On the way back we stayed for 3 nights at the Taj Palace - the hotel is truly an experience.
