Bohol and Palawan Hotels
1. In a week I am going to stay three nights in Bohol after spending 4 nights in Cebu. I plan to take a ferry to Tagbilaran. Which area of the island is good to stay? I am going to relax and possibly walk around a lot. Are there areas you would recommend to stay that’s is reachable by bus or public transportation?
2. The next destination is Palawan. I planned to fly from Cebu (return to Cebu by ferry) but found that there is an airport inn Bohol. Would you recommend a flight out of Bohol instead? 3. Same question as 1 above - need a good area for hotel stay that is reachable by public transportation. I do not want to depend on Grab or taxi all the time. I am not interested in water activities like scuba or snorkeling. I just want to relax for a few days in the Philippines on my way to Bali for the first time in the SE Asia. any suggestions will be appreciated. |
As for a good area for hotel stay in Bohol, if you want to relax and enjoy a quiet environment, you can consider staying in Loboc or Anda. Both areas offer a peaceful and scenic setting, with a range of accommodations to choose from.
Loboc is located in the central part of Bohol, along the Loboc River, and it's known for its lush rainforests, waterfalls, and scenic river cruises. There are several resorts and guesthouses in the area, and you can easily reach Loboc by public transportation. Anda, on the other hand, is located in the northeastern part of Bohol, and it boasts of several beautiful beaches, such as Quinale Beach and Anda Beach. The area is less developed than other parts of Bohol, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the island. Anda can also be easily reached by public transportation, such as buses or vans. Both Loboc and Anda are reachable by public transportation, such as buses or vans. You can also hire a tricycle or motorbike to explore the area at your own pace. |
Thank you for the suggestion. I am already in Bohol in Panglao. Tomorrow I will head for Palawan.

I recommend Henann Resort Alona Beach. In Palawan, El Nido Resorts on Miniloc Island is amazing. For more travel tips, check this out

Hi everyone!
I've traveled to both Bohol and Palawan recently, and both destinations have some fantastic hotel options. In Bohol, I stayed at Henann Resort Alona Beach, which was wonderful with its great location and amenities. For a more budget-friendly option, Alona Northland Resort is also quite good. In Palawan, I had an amazing experience at El Nido Resorts on Miniloc Island. The views were breathtaking, and the service was top-notch. If you're looking for something more affordable, Spin Designer Hostel in El Nido is a great choice with a friendly vibe and clean facilities. |
tominrm - How did you find Cebu City? Are there interesting things to do there? Is it good for beaches or do you go to Bohol for that?
Thanks |
