Bob - Peninsula and laundry

Maybe I am just searching for the wrong thing, but I swear, Bob, you have mentioned a cheap place to get laundry done near the Peninsula in Bkk. We arrived here with one change of clean clothes a peice, and do not feel like paying hotel prices to get laundry done for the next 4 days.

HELP!!!

i have mentoned two places...the one we have used most often is near to the marriott hotel....go to the hotel drive...turn around and head back to the penn on foot...after less than a block or two you will see a small store front laundry....they are excellent and very cheap...

the second is on the other side of the river in back of the shangri-la hotel...behind the hotel there are a couple of sois that run from the road behind the hotel to new road...when leaving the sweeping drive up to the front door of the main sh-la entrance, walk down to the roadway where all the vendors are....turn right....walk forward not too far and there is a foot massage/massage place on your left on the corner....turn down that soi....after a short distance on your left is a small shop-laundry....

i am sure there are similar laundries near the penn too....you might ask the door man or conceige or just wander out along the road....go to a 7/11 and ask someone...

or just pay the penn price....ugh/ouch...but still way less than at home...

most laundries take 2 days...

(Bob, this is one of the reasons I stay in the Towers at the Royal Orchid - FREE laundry [6 pieces per person per day] washed, pressed, and delivered to your room same day.)

kathie....knowing the ROS, they probably would loose my laundry...haha

or it would come back smelling of paint fumes....

Actually I did not find Pen rates very high for laudery. Dry cleaning is another story. Did 4 days of laudry for 2 persons for $25-$30USD-call in from room by 10 AM back by in your room 5 PM.So, no hassle in the heat.

stan...at the local laundries that would cost about $5....

Asking Bob's advice on laundry is like asking for Cher's advice on fashion. These are subjects about which they know nothing. I'm assuming that Cher knows little about laundry.
