Only Asian destinations that AA fly to are in Japan. Their two main partners are JL and CX in Asia.
AA codeshare on both airlines to various destinations in Asia. For BKK and SIN, you can do either. For DPS, it's CX only.
If your connection is NRT or KIX, then you're flying AA from the US to Japan, then JL onwards. If your connection is in HKG, then you're flying CX all the way.
Look at the flight numbers. If it's AA58xx, it's JL. If it's AA60xx/61xx, it's CX.
Just like JL, CX do not have F-class on many of its Asian flights. If its operated on a 744, then you're fine. But if it's on a 777 or 330, then you will getting Regional Business Class, which is kind of like domestic US First Class with 45" pitch only.
As for AA's Pacific service, I think most (if not all) are still on the "Pacific" 777 that don't have the Flagship Suite. JL and CX's F-Class product will be superior to AA in that case.

American offers 3 classes of service transpacific. They codeshare with Japan Airlines to BKK and SIN. They codeshare with Cathay Pacific to HKG. You would have to combine all 3 airlines it looks like to get to Bali as well. From BKK, for example, you could take Cathay Pacific to HKG, then connect to get to Bali.
Do make note of the fact that several of the flights within Asia are on aircraft that only have two classes, so that it may save you miles if you book a business class reward instead of first class...it may be worth checking when you are on the phone with an agent.
I don't think that flying American across the Pacific is bad at all, especially if you are not in economy class. The flights within Asia are operated by Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific anyway, so no need to change you dates to get this airline unless you have your heart set on flying one of them across the Pacific.
We've been to Hong Kong 3 times in August, and it wasn't bad at all. Hot, sure, but it didn't bother us...maybe becaues we live in Japan where summer is seriously hot anyway. We didn't find Bangkok bad in August either...it was cooler than where we live both times we were there in August. We've been to Bali in both August and December. Each time was lovely...August was hot and dry, it didn't rain at all. December was hot and moist...some rain, but mostly in the afternoon/early evenings, and as we weren't particularly interested in getting tan but were interested in cultural activities, the rain didn't bother us at all.
